1. Can I alter a home design?
We have one of the largest ranges of home designs in the business, but we understand that you want something that’s totally unique, a home you can call your own. At Wilson Homes, our Sales Consultants use their vast experience to help guide you to a home design best suited to your lifestyle, and can discuss the opportunity for variations/adjustments to tick all of your boxes.
2. What Inclusions level can I have?
Wilson Homes offer three inclusion levels; Affordable, Designer & NextGen Aspire. The Inclusions are flexible and you can create individual areas within your new home at different levels of preference. Your Sales Consultant will work with you through the process to make the job easy.
3. How do I know if a block of land is suitable for me?
Once you have selected your preferred design we’ll undertake a FREE site inspection of your block. We’ll meet with you to present the estimate, this will allow you to make an informed decision on whether the land is suitable for your budget or design.
4. Is the new home colour/inclusion selection process easy?
Yes it is, Wilson Homes have a full in-house selection centre, the MyChoice Design Studio. This provides you with all the items of choice required in your new home that you can touch and feel. No need to go from shop to shop gathering unnecessary brochures and samples, it is all under one roof.
5. How long does it take before I can start building?
The build process is dependent on a number factors, these include design requirements, land location and Council regulations. Once you have chosen your new home design there are a number of steps Wilson Homes will conduct on your behalf before reaching site, these include:
- Selection process of colours and inclusions within your new home
- Arrange all engineering reports associated with the land
- Full Council drafting of plans and efficiency rating (6 Star)
- Submission to Council of all associated documents related to the entire build
Time frame of this does vary and your Sales Consultant can provide more accurate details once a design and land has been confirmed.
6. Can I view my home during the build?
During the exciting construction period where we bring your dream home to life, there are a number of opportunities to view the construction milestones onsite. Most importantly, at the Practical Completion stage we will invite you to inspect and walk through your new home prior to handover.
7. What guarantees do I have that my house is built to the best quality?
When a new house becomes occupied and levels of temperature fluctuates this can cause minor movement in doors and walls, to accommodate this Wilson Homes have a 90 day maintenance program. Should any small defects appear this will be promptly rectified at no cost for the duration of the 90 days. Wilson Homes stands by its quality and offer our clients a 12 Year Structural Guarantee, double the industry mandatory period of 6 years – now that’s peace of mind!
