If you are looking for a builder who can help you build your dream home, then Wilson Homes is the perfect choice. We are passionate about building homes, and we want to make sure that your experience is as enjoyable as possible.
To help you understand the process, we have outlined below the different steps involved in bringing your new home to life.
FREE NO OBLIGATION SITE INSPECTION & QUOTE
This is the first step in the process, where you will meet with a Wilson Homes consultant to discuss your needs and preferences. They will come to your property and take a look at the site, then provide you with a free, no-obligation quote.
ACCEPTANCE FEE TAKEN
Once you have decided to move forward with the quote for your chosen design, you will need to pay an acceptance fee.
DEPOSIT VARIATION (IF REQUIRED)
After the acceptance fee is paid, you will need to make a deposit variation. This is the amount of money that you will need to pay upfront to cover the cost of materials and labour. The deposit variation will vary depending on the size and complexity of your home.
The consolidated tender is a document that outlines all of the costs associated with building your home. This includes the cost of materials, labour, permits, and other fees. The consolidated tender will be reviewed by you and your Wilson Homes consultant before it is finalised.
Once the consolidated tender is finalised, the plans for your home will be drawn up. This includes the floor plan, elevations, and details of the finishes. The plans will be reviewed by you and your Wilson Homes consultant before they are submitted to the local council for approval.
MYCHOICE DESIGN STUDIO COLOUR SELECTIONS & ELECTRICAL
Exclusively available to you when you build with Wilson Homes, the MyChoice Design Studio is where you will make all the fixture and fitting decisions for your new Wilson Home, from paint colour all the way through to door handles, to truly personalise your new home. You will be guided through each appointment by your qualified Interior Designer ensuring you feel confident in every decision you make. Key appointments include initial walkthrough, colour selection and electrical selection.
HIA FIXED PRICE CONTRACT PRESENTATION
Once you are happy with the plans and color selections, you will need to sign an HIA fixed price contract. This contract will guarantee the price of your home, and it will also outline the terms of the warranty.
BUILDING APPROVALS & AUTHORITY TO COMMENCE CONSTRUCTION
Once the contract is signed, Wilson Homes will begin the process of obtaining the necessary building approvals. Once the approvals are in place, authority will be given to commence construction.
The 8 stages outlined above are just a general overview of the building process with Wilson Homes. The specific steps involved may vary depending on the location of your home and the specific design that you choose. However, these 8 stages provide a good overview of what to expect when building a home with Wilson Homes.
