PEOPLE visit a display home for a variety of reasons but some common threads pop up time and again.
They might be looking for design inspiration or hoping to see the latest ideas or products “in the flesh”.
They might be serious about locking in a builder for their project or just kicking the tires. Some are even intending to build with a different builder.
Wilson Homes managing director Scott Wilson said it was unbelievably common to hear that people want to buy their display homes, which is not exactly why they were built but it’s a nice compliment nonetheless.
“It is incredible how many people walk through a display home and ask if it is for sale,” he said.
“We could have sold our Launceston home 10 times over and although Kingston has only been open for a few weeks, we could have sold it five times over.
“It gives us an opportunity to talk to people about that house and land packages that we have available in those areas.”
