Winter Styling

A change in season means a change in style, and Winter is the perfect excuse to add layers and textures to your home. Keep reading to see how Wilson like to get cosy and add warmth to our homes to create that perfect Winter feel.

CUSHIONS AND THROWS

Nothing says snuggly more than a chunky knitted throw draped over the lounge. Layering heavier fabrics around your home will create a cosy feeling and make any space feel extra homey. Introduce natural, earthy tones into the home with the addition of large couch cushions. All you need is a warm cup of hot chocolate and you will never want to leave!

RUGS

Add warmth to timber or tiled flooring with a statement rug. Whether it be a large rug in your living room, extending beneath your couch and coffee table, a rug at the foot of your bed to create an inviting space for those winter snuggles or a runner for your hallway so your feet don’t get cold on the run to bed, any of these options will add extra warmth to your home.

MOOD LIGHTING

With Winter, comes shorter days and lesser light, but to set the evening mood, we don’t want anything too bright. That’s why Winter is the perfect time to add ambient lighting to all areas of your home! Trending options include industrial ceiling pendants, string pendant lighting, contemporary floor lamps, or Wilson’s favourite… luxurious gold brass lamps for your office desk or bedside tables.

AROMAS

If you plan on hibernating in your home during the colder months, what screams cosy more than a soothing blend of warm Winter aromas?
Use essential oil diffusers for more of an organic, earthy aroma such as patchouli and pine or espresso. Or you may prefer a scented candle that brings comfort and warmth for hours on end, including charred fig, cinnamon, or roasted almond.

SUNNY CORNERS

Make the most of the Winter sun by finding the perfect spot in your home or outdoor living area which gets the most rays of sunshine to soak up and enjoy! Decorate the area with a cosy seating spot, using a nice occasional chair indoors or a cushioned bench seat for outdoors.
