Industry Advancement

Wilson Homes understands the importance of investing in people and innovation. We strive for continuous improvement, providing unsurpassed customer experiences, stunning high-quality homes with an underlying commitment to innovation.

For more than two decades, Wilson has been a leader within the Tasmanian construction industry through our active participation in a range of industry groups and organisations. We are thrilled to support the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Tasmania to promote and empower women in the construction industry.

NAWIC is a not-for-profit organisation, spearheaded by industry leaders, working toward the goal of an equitable construction industry in which women are involved, heard, and making a difference.

NAWIC promotes, advocates and lobbies for change, educates and empowers, and provides a forum for members to meet and exchange information, ideas, and solutions Wilson Homes encourages our team to participate in the initiatives and training NAWIC provide and in 2021 we proudly had several team members enter their Tasmania 2021 Awards for Excellence.

We are thrilled to share that three Wilson Homes team members were recognised at the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Tasmania 2021 Awards for Excellence last Friday night.

Congratulations to our outstanding team of Jackie Griffiths, Heidi Hofler, and Chelsea Rimmer who each won awards or were commended for their efforts, skills and contributions.

Jackie Griffiths, Wilson Homes Project Delivery Manager, won the award for Contribution to Project or Organisation. Jackie provides highly professional and efficient support to our organisation.

Heidi Hofler, Wilson Homes WHS Manager, taking out the Keystone Tasmania Next Step Award. Heidi is a true leader within our business, driving change and continuous improvement across the key areas of WHS. A testament to Heidi’s impact is that Wilson Homes recently won a Master Builders Tasmania Award of Excellence for our contractor on boarding program which Heidi created and leads the implementation and management of.

Chelsea Rimmer, Wilson Homes Northern Regional Manager, received a Commendation in the Business Woman of the Year category for her outstanding contribution and impact on the growth and development of our northern business.

This year, Wilson Homes proudly sponsored the Crystal Vision Award at the Excellence Awards. This is the premier award of the program, which recognises an individual, company or group, that encourages and promotes the advancement of women in the industry thereby providing a significant contribution to the industry as a whole.

Congratulations to Jane Valentine of Valentine Interiors & Design for taking out this award and her outstanding contribution to the industry. We celebrate Jackie, Heidi and Chelsea for the incredible contributions to Wilson Homes. For more information on NAWIC please see their website here
