Special Purpose Housing
Every home is unique, however sometimes there is a need to tailor housing even further to specific special needs to meet client or eventual occupant needs – and this is something Wilson Homes is very well versed at achieving.
It could be as simple as providing future accessibility of a lift within a home, or providing complete wheelchair accessibility to an entire housing development.
We have constructed homes for clients with many unique and varying needs, from group housing occupying multiple occupants and a carer, right through to low dependency nursing home independent living units.
Wilson Homes have successfully delivered, on time and on budget, many special purpose housing projects across Tasmania in several different segments including: Aged Care Providers; State Government; Community Housing Providers; Federal Government NRAS (National Rent Affordability Scheme); and NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme).
We pride ourselves on careful consideration of a client’s needs, and work carefully with all parties to ensure that any special purpose housing meets and exceeds expectations from initial design (with our own in-house concept drafting team) through to a quality delivered outcome.
Wilson Homes has been awarded the Tasmanian HIA Special Purpose Housing of the Year multiple times, and twice represented Tasmania as a national HIA award finalist.
